Re: Somewhere to Chat.

I seem to remember Fr Delaney becoming parish priest of Enniskerry after his time in Dunlaoghaire and I agree with Denis
I would rather go to Fr. Martin for confession. Confession time was snooze time for Fr, Martin

I was in the Tech with Jimmy Ennis and met him several times over the years and hung around years ago with Liam Lynch
and met him most Saturday's in the graduate up until about a year ago when he got really sick.
Rest in peace both of them.

I just heard that John Power passed away a few days ago. John was originally from The Farm and was a very good goalkeeper in his day. He played for a few teams in the Boro St Joseph's of Glasthule Dundela , and Dunleary Celtic in their early years. He lived In Ballybrack after he married and the las...

The Hibernia in Bray is owned by the Ryan family who owned Cheerio's bar in Dunlaoghaire for many years . the premises is now a small supermarket
or at least it was up until recently . Can't keep up with changes in Dunlaoghaire in the last few years.

Not forgetting the old Sleith's van at the beginning of the clip. I recognised one of the cyclists Tommy Shepard who was a neighbour at the...

Re: Genealogical Sources

While the info regarding the graves and who is buried in them is fairly accurate the ages of the deceased are not.
I have noticed this on my own relatives records including my own father's record which states he was 65 at death
but he was 63 when he died but its still a great site.

Re: Births, Deaths, Marriages and Anniversaries

I returned from the U.K. on Tuesday last having attended my brother Tom's funeral and was wondering why it takes so long for a burial or cremation to take place over there. It took 28 days after his death to cremate him. His wife died about 12 years ago and the same thing it took three and a half we...
