It is truly amazing how Irish people get together to try and make their local area better.

IABA like GAA are two of the fantastic amateur sports in Ireland

That's a great video. My late sister lived in the Flats and I lived in Fitzgerald Park and there was always a great community spirit in the area. It's great to see that spirit being brought into action. My sister would have been delighted,Tommy Rapple,the Chairperson and founder member was her son-in-law and at least 2 of her grandchildren fought in the National Championships. I see Tommy at family get togethers but I never realised how extensive the club is and what a role he plays in it. Tommy's a doer not a talker,fair play to them all. wuu wuu wuu

I always find that the quiet ones and the unnderstàted ones are the doers.
