Dave,
Whats seldom is wonderful. We get very little snow, but, that year we were snowed in for weeks. Strum also did an amazing vid on the snow. Just come to Dalkey anytime of the year it is a beautiful small town nearest hotel Fitzpatricks Castle in Killiney. Great restaurants in Dalkey and a real village atmosphere. Did you ever hear of the writer Maeve Binchy?. Sadly she died recently in Dalkey, her beloved home town. Google her she loved the town.

Could ya not try and make it next month ? We,ll have Spud over and it,d be nice to have such a rich diversity of cultures. Do you have goldmines in your country? If so, bring a little bag (nearly sure Spud said he,d bring his stash) With the price of a pint here now you,re gonna need it!

I've watched the Christmas in Dalkey video about 20 times already, I think it's so beautiful it reminds me of oldy Dickens time.we really don't appreciate the beautiful surroundings we have on our doorstep.

Sallyb,
You said it. We really don't appreciate the place. Yesterday I was forced to take things easy and took the DART from Killiney to Monkstown. Everywhere was just beautiful, the sun was shining, the sea was at a very low tide (Equinox or something like that), there were lots of little boats coming out of Dalkey, the harbour at DunLaoghaire was packed with boats. It is a paradise,,, we are so lucky.
