Did a small gig tonight. Shit like Move it on over and various old Sun stuff, but the turned the double bass into a magical four fingered Indian drumbeat of a totally ad lib song about the white man's destruction and the Indians reinvention.
Hope we can repeat it when sober. Then record it, just me an' Baez on Strat and bass. Can't be live I did dat! :D :D :D :D :D :D

He was solo and he put on a great show, although my heart wasn't in it as I found out that a very good pal had lost his short battle with cancer yesterday. Life is for living folks, dont put off till tomorrow what you can do today.

Toss, so sorry to read of your friends passing . I don't think there is a single person
who hasn't been touched in some way by cancer . Some of us are really lucky and some
unfortunately are taken far too early and abruptly . Sorry for your loss Toss dnc1

Toss, sorry for your loss but Thank God his battle was a short one. Great to read that music, song and stories were used to commemorate his life.

Its a sad farewell to Bap Kennedy, as the talented singer songwriter lost his short cancer battle aged 54. Bap is the less attention seeking brother of singer Brian Kennedy and a man who was highly respected by those that matter in the music world.

Just love this song from down under ...... I originally heard the co-writer Luke O'Shea's version, but this is as good if not better

Its a shame that great songs like that are denied radio play in favour of some X-factor junk over here.
