came across this vid-forgotton how good the song was

John Rowles

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ToNK2-JuQMs#

and the words

If I only had time, only time.
So much to do, if I only had time,
If I only had ti-ime.
Dreams to pursue, If I only had time.
They'd be mine.

Time like the wind.
Goes a-hurrying by, and the hours just fly-y.
Where to begin there are mountains I'd climb.
If I had time.

O.K you lot. Here I am looking through old posts and then I come to this one and none of you gives them a name. How are young ones like me ever to learn what it was like in the good auld days if yis won't tell us the names and what went on?
I am not afraid of tomorrow, for I have seen yesterday and I love today.

Hiya Rocker ! they were great times, although the group scene was getting stronger in my day, I was at the beginning of the end of the showband era, for a flavour, check out, irish-showbands.com wealth of info on there.

I notice that Brendan Bowyer is in the Pavillion on 6 October

Still doing the Hucklebuck.

He gets full house every time - lots of silver hair in the audience

For those who are interested there are three great sites about showbands I have had the priviledge of being involved with photos and mags on them all.
Gerry Gallahers from Sligo http.//www. irishshowbands.com
Francis Kennedys from Galway http://www.irishshowbands.net
Liam O Reillys from Arklow http://www.Album of irishshowbands.com
