Almost every APP on a smart-phone ask for the same details, some even more like farcebark messenger. identity, contacts, messaging, photos and media files, Wi-Fi connections, device ID and device info. Basically you're being watched and tracked every second. ;)

wuu wuu wuu Too right Strum, I remember we had this conversation last year .... Phones, Ipads, Laptops, PCs all are basically open to all sorts of identity theft and fraud. Some of the biggest snoops are the very programmes you run on your computers everyday and the security ones you think are protecting you are as bad

My mobile is about 15 years old so I don't have any of the modern stuff so downloading is not an option. But we all have to be very careful of how we use our computers and what we download.

Big Brother knows everything. Why beat yourselves up. Just keep your online banking to a bare minimum - bills etc. A good internet security is a must. And don't worry. All our details are sold on to marketers - big deal.

  The problem with my computer is that the broadband is so bad and the wifi even worse here that I can't watch any movie on the computer. Have to rely on the telly and whatever is on it. Never got the video going again when we got the new telly a few years ago. Not very technical minded in this house.

Yis are a tough bunch if you can watch horror movies...I like a bit of light romance...all my poor heart can cope with,,,

Me too Rocker, a nice neo-classical romantic drama with the dogs curled up beside me on the couch and a lovely cup of gold blend tea. That's the problem with my computer, too much romantic classics on netfix. Ahhh.... life is beautiful. dnc2

I'll stick this in here.
I know this has been mentioned somewhere before but
I had to use my debit card yesterday ( which brought tears to my eyes-but)
The card was just placed on the scanner unit-instantly I got a receipt straight away-
Kinda makes you think tho' -If scammers get their hands on these units -
they could zap your card as you passed or stood beside them if the unit was amplified-
dontknow dontknow dontknow dontknow dontknow dontknow

Yes, very true Grammer. I hear there are wallets available now with metal shielding to prevent the likes of this.

Grammer

I offered up my Debit Card in a shop the other day and the lady at the till asked me if Id like to use the "touch & go" facility rather than just assuming Id want to. I told her no and we did the buisiness in the traditional way.

Nearly forgot this

http://www.photoeditoronlinefree.com/

This has the exact same functionality as the latest "bought" version of Photoshop Elements
