Another Dubliner who lives in this area gave me these links to some Dublin Thoms Directories. Click on the link and to move around the directory faster change, the page number in your browser. The pages numbers are at the end of your browser so delete say 7 and type in 399 press enter and the page will change. I hope i have explained it right.

This is 1969. http://griffiths.askaboutireland.ie/gv4 ... &pdfpage=5

1978. http://griffiths.askaboutireland.ie/gv4 ... &pdfpage=7

1986. http://griffiths.askaboutireland.ie/gv4 ... &pdfpage=7

Can you change the pages ok Rocker, at first i kept deleting the whole link. I will have another four or so links to post. I posted the earliest 1969 and the latest 1986 so the others will be in between. Im struggling to remember some of the Brookfield residents but my excuse is i left over 40 years ago.

Thanks carriagdove I got the hang of changing the pages and will be back at it later tonight. I'm like you going up and down the roads looking to see who I can remember. We always referred to elders as mrs and Mr and it is gas to see the First names. It is bringing back memories of some lovely people. There was a very kind bunch of people in Blackrock in my youth. Give you the shirt off their back.
