Spud,

What a great send off to your dad this morning. I'm not really a great church person but, have to say the whole service was moving. Last word to your dad who sang us out in style. What a voice, what a great idea for your family to play the songs...not a dry eye in the house. May your Dad rest in peace. Sad day, but, sounds like he was one wonderful man.

Rocker thank you for your lovely post! I did hear it all and I must say I wept ! Unfortunately the web cam froze as all the people logged on and took up the bandwidth but at least I did get to hear it all!
Thanks for making the effort to go as well we must do coffee in the town next time I'm there !

Grammer, Willie worked here in BD for years, he was a gentleman and a great accordian player. He used to play in the Playwright bar years ago, great Country and Western nights with Willie and the Rangers. May he rest in Peace.

R I P Willie I can remember Willie when I first went dancing in the HUT in Newtownpark the young Ireland Club when he had Patsy Mooney from Dalkey singing with him and Millie Murphy from Domnick Street on Drums must have been at least 55 years ago , at the time he also played later in the Workmans Club for Liam Ryans nurses dances ,and the Town Hall for Matt Kane but mostly every Sunday night in the Hut circa 1958/59.
Great player and a lovely man .
