Haha, it was my son's graduation last night and it was on here. St Philip and St James' Church, Merrion Avenue, opposite Sion Hill. ;)

Must go and have a look at that. Years ago Dr O'Rourke lived there then in the late 90's Pat Potter who owned Potters Bar which is now the Three Tun opened a Bed and Breakfast there. it was very well run. Don;t know who has it now.

Ah sure maybe that's what the little plaque over the door was ,something to do with the B+B days,I was stuck in traffic outside the house and it caught my eye but I didn't get a close look at it looked religious or a bit like one of those Camino walk plaques, nicely painted house.

I believe it means (loosely) -
"What are we, if we dont have our health?" An appropriate motto or house name for a medical person.
Its also the name of a famous Clinic or Spa in Switzerland

Qui si Sano is two houses away from Idrone House. Our dentist used to live there a gorgeous old house. Imagine I can't remember his hame now and I went to him for twenty years!

We noticed them a few weeks ago too Strum and the fellow in the local shop said it was all going to be relandscaped by the council. Don't know what they are going to do but as you say the beach stones must have caused many a compo case. They are giving me a pain with all this village centre stuff ..when would you get a minute to sit on the main street in Blackrock...in Cornelscourt they have all kinds of yokes and I only find it distracting and in Ballybrack there is an oblisk and the kids sit on it and drink. At least they have not put graffetti on it. Gawd, I sound moany but, if they leased the space to the coffee shop it could be a nice summer eating out venue. That Insomnia in Blackrock is the pitts everyone siting on top of each other and no privacy.

Same story, more or less, whichever site you look on. There are some comments here on this article suggesting that currents eventually brought her ashore in Scotland: http://www.thejournal.ie/breda-delaney- ... 5-Oct2015/
