Image One morning while walking my dog I met a chap who I knew from the area who had spent the night in the white shelter on the beach here. He told me he had had a bit of a row with the missus and she,d thrown him out. I gave him a few quid and told him to buy a bit of breakfast knowing full well that a few cans of beer were much more likely. Not too long after the poor chap fell on Mullins hill and hit his head and died there. I was glad I,d met him that morning and hope I cheered up what was to be one of his last days on this earth.

Spud, its amazing what a 16 cent charge on plastic bags has done to the layout of the countryside.

Image Many years ago when work was scarce a few of us lads decided to fish overnight off this rock. It was a chilly night so we brought a big bucket of coal with us which kept us warm for several hours. Didnt catch much fish but one of the lads brought us back to his house and proceeded to cook us this massive breakfast which after all that sea air was readily devoured!

Nice one Farmboy. That rock looks like the ruins on an old pier or jetty... Is that at whiterock? There a couple more up along the Shanganagh Cliffs! Hard to Imagine that big boats landed in Killiney Bay at some stage.

Yeah Strum, thats Whiterock where for a few years the nudists paraded their wares. Dont know if they still do but didnt agree with them being there what with mothers and fathers bringing their little kids down there, not a pretty sight! Mind you, once while walking the dog there was this Brigette Neilson lookalike jogging in the buff.....maybe it,d be ok if she stuck around!
