I saw my first in-flower Cherry Blossom tree of 2016 yesterday.....yay!
A little beauty...flowers well developed, so I suspect I'm late in spotting one, they've been out for a while maybe?

Strange garden year Zirco. I have a garden full of iris, tiny daffs (tete-a-tete), snowdrops, globe hyacints, perrywinkle. The cherry is dead as a doornail just bare branches Oh Dear! I bought some cheapy dark pink cyclamen to cheer up a border at the start of winter and they are magnificent blooming ever since (Woodies cheapy) well worth the few pennies.I have yokes which I think are wild garlic and they are blooming away a big mass of white nodding in the wind.

The garden keeps me sane and has dragged me back from many a dark time...Happiness indeed.

I planted a load of bulbs in containers prior to moving house but they got so water logged johndllle I really didn't expect any blooms but lo and behold , on Valentine's Day a lone daffodil popped open and my joy was unbridled :D
Having a new lawn laid tomorrow and hoping to create a fairy garden in a little shaded part of the garden . I love springtime,
a time of new beginnings ......all wonderful!

Happiness is being well.

Had to rush with an old pal to St Michaels this morning and the amount of very ill and upset people in A&E made me think just how lucky we are to be on our feet.Staff are amazing there.
Well in St michael's today with another old pal. What can I say about the kindness of the staff to this sick, old lady. Everyone we encountered went out of their way to make life easier for us and ease the problem. Bottle those staff, they are too good to lose.

Just thought of this thread this morning.

It has been a great year.In the last few weeks as I went from house to house meeting old friends and relations the one thing that struck me was the great amount of happiness and love in each family. It is never easy to keep the show on the road, but,we have some amazing people out there. I left each encounter with that warm glow.

Happiness is a state of mind and those of us who are are lucky to have that disposition will enjoy their life, as you obviously do Rocker.

Again I thought of happiness this morning. Had a visit yesterday from a bright young thing who lost her brother last week. Her positive attitude and deep christian faith blew me away. She said her brother would want her to be happy. Can't get over how it made me evaluate the little things I fret about!!
