  I'm going to let the family down now by telling this one. My Da used to pat out his good trousers and put them under the mattress to press them...none of your auld trousers presses or steam irons for that generation.

  Micheál, He did get out of them. They were his good trousers and only worn on Sundays so rested under the mattress for the week. The suit he wore to work was ...well worn...he used to cycle to Dublin every day so it got many a knock.

Gawd Snowy...here I am 40 years of age and I have been tying my shoelaces incorrectly all them years. No wonder I am always tripping on the laces....and I was blaming Clark's shoes

I've only just learned hoe to tell my left shoe from my right. I'm not quite ready to tackle laces just yet.

How to find out who's been calling you on the phone

How to find out who's been calling you on the phone
Use the reverse phone directory.
Where do you find it?
Here
http://www.missedcallireland.com/
Only covers land lines, and excludes unlisted numbers - but useful nevertheless in many cases!

While on this topic, I thought I might tell you of a recent experience. I kept getting calls where the phone rang only once. The numbers were different but all emanated from a foreign country where I knew nobody. I resisted the temptation to phone to see what was going on. Googling some of the numbers confirmed my suspicion that the numbers were premium rate lines which, if I had rung back, would cost me a packet.

But Ignoring the calls was problematic because they happened at all times of the day - and night.

My solution is to set up a Contact on my phone and register all the suspicious numbers under that Contact. Then I configured my phone to reject all calls from that Contact. I assembled about 6 numbers under this Method and there has been no recurrence.

Thanks for that tip Micheál. HID was plagued by those calls so he did your trick. Laughing.
