Hello JL and welcome to the site.
No, you are not a bit thick ! you are just like the rest of us....finding your way around.

Unfortunately a lot of photos have been lost from this site. We all used a company called Image shack to post our photos then that company started to charge for the facility and we lost the photos already put up by former members. It was a sad day but, hopefully we will get people to post new photos.

Did you have any particular place that you are interested in or any particular photo you wish to view?

Thanks Rocker. Yes unfortunately some old posts here are lacking photos and I've left the topics there hoping that some can be restored. Don't let that put you off though John, post away, and welcome to the site.
Any other problems ask away. ;)

Welcome JLMooney

Of course the lesson we all learned was, when posting images, to safely store copies in case our "next" image host does a runner. Image Shack let us down. And then the once great Google threw Picasa under a bus and offered a very poor alternative in Google Photos. I use Flickr as my sharing platform but I still make sure to keep copies for when the inevitable day arrives.

Hi Spudseamus,

I haven't used Photobucket in years but I see your problem, Photobucket removed its "Album Download" feature, I had a look and there are several solutions which might help you. The one that seems the easiest is a paid solution (about 2.50AUD).

See: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/deta ... pelc?hl=en

You will need the Chrome browser and a credit card.

I haven't tested this so I can't say personally that it works but from reading the reviews it looks promising.

Let me know how you get on and if that doesn't work we can look at other solutions.
