Hello Maryb and welcome. Never heard of Stylebawn. There were Cooneys on Lr Georges Street. Have you looked at the Catholic Parish Registers. They take a bit of work but if you know roughly the dates you can find a lot of info on them. Havent looked at Glenealy.
Try Wicklow and then the adjoining parts of Wicklow.

another great site with really helpful posters is http://www.rootschat.com
go to Forum and then to Ireland and there are sections for Wicklow and Dublin etc.

Welcome, MaryB. The only references to Stylebawn that I can find seem to center round the Delgany area of North Wicklow: http://www.delganyheritagevillage.com/style_bawn.html

In the 1911 census there are some Bradshaw families living at a place called Stilebawn in Kilcoole Wicklow

http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/p ... Stilebawn/

Mary J Connor in house No 4 must have been the landowner Her house had 29 rooms might be the house that Skins put up details.

In the enumerator's report the Townland is Stylebawn,Newcastle Barony in the Parish of Kilcoole but the sub district is Delgany.

Isn't it just so annoying when people come on to get a bit of info and then don't bother coming back - pisses me off big time!!
Remember the one who came on from the USA ?? She just wanted to promote her poetry book

had a look at Stylebawn House in Delgany I think this must have been where my great grandmother came from they say they were farmers but I think it might have been the gardens they worked on with a tied cottage. still to be confirmed but sure its the right area. thanks wuu wuu
