Looking back at this thread makes for interesting reading ! Pity the photos are gone. I've been watching to see would there be a knock on effect on garden life due to the good weather. Well, I haven't seen one wasp, very few bees and practically no butterflies, the same applies to my local park, which is big with plenty of wildflowers and vegetation. There are millions of flies and bluebottles but strangely no horseflies ! I've been able to water my plants from my rainwater barrels so there are plenty of blooms but sadly no colourful insects
