Ballybrack was more or less in the country :) :)
The Ramblers and the Igo Inn were Bona fides-where everyone from the boro went to get a drink on a Sunday evening and night -
because it was outside the boro town pubs closing times .

Too true Grammer. I went to St Laurence's in 1970. One of the first pupils there when it opened.
I'd get the 45A to where St. Matthias Church is, top of Wyattville road now.
Cross over the Road and climb over dry stone walls all the way up to Loughlinstown. Reminded me of Connemara at the time.
Sheep and Cattle. And a Dump where the playing fields are now. (what's new hahahahaha )
The Clonkeen River was overground then aswell.
